Roger Clemens had a no-hitter going to the sixth inning and A-Rod hit his 44th home run to put the Yankees over the Red Sox 4-3 for the second straight night. It doesn’t mean anything but could be the start of the collapse.
The Mets, meanwhile, are in a bit of a collapse of their own. [...]

First they beat Boston, thanks to Andy Pettite. Then they benched Mike Mussina in favor of Ian Kennedy, a former first round pick and top prospect. Anything is better at this point than Mussina has been lately - a 17.69 ERA over his last three starts.
Beating Boston one game isn’t enough. The Yanks need to [...]

Boston seems to have the division wrapped, playing some great baseball as of late. Meanwhile, the Yankees are folding after bringing their fans into a state of belief. They capped a bad road trip [...]

Steve Stricker was down but not out. KJ Choi cruised into the lead with two consecutive birdies - a 45-footer and a 50-footer - only to watch a great week end in disappointment. Stricker answered Choi with birdies on four of the last five holes for the victory. Can you say Tiger who? A great start [...]

KJ Choi has had a great season. Now, he is atop the Barclays leaderboard and doesn’t look like he will give it up. He has a two shot lead over Rich Beem. Phil Mickelson came back a bit and is two under at the start of Saturday’s round. Low scores are the rage in Westchester [...]

I think we take for granted the greatness of some of the pitchers that are in the twilight of their careers. Greg Maddux just surpassed Cy Young with his 10th win last night, making that the 20th straight season with 10 or more victories. With Maddux, Roger Clemens, Tom Glavin, Randy Johnson and John Smolt we [...]
