MLB: A-rod and Yanks have deal

Though not totally official, the Yankees and Alex Rodriguez have worked out the framework on a 10-year $275 million deal for the third baseman. 
Next, the Yankees have to turn their attention to Mariano Rivera, who wants a fourth year added to the $45 million, three year initial offer.

MLB: Barry’s indicted

Barry Bonds was indicted today on four counts of perjury, one of obstruction of justice, holding a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.  Bonds and his lawyers were caught off guard with the news.  This is just one last attempt to get Bonds tied to the steroid era…because the era needs a recognisable face.
