The Mets are now in the Johan Santana sweepstakes.  Why not?  They are a big market and the Yanks and Sox have cooled their interest.  The Mets, always looking to upstage the Yanks, need a top starter and GM Omar Minaya needs to make up for the Lastings Milledge deal.
