NFL: Playoff Weekend

It’s playoff time…

  • Washington Redskins at Seattle Seahawks

The Redskins are riding a four game winning streak coming into the playoffs and are playing with a lot of passion in memory of Sean Taylor.  The Seahawks are the favorite and one of the toughest teams to beat at home but it will not be enough to stop the Redskins.

  • New York Giants at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

TB defensive back Ronde Barber joined his brother in bashing Giants QB Eli Manning, calling him mistake prone and inconsistent.  Giants fans will agree but Eli looked good against the Patriots and will lead the team to the next round of the playoffs.  It will be a defensive battle and the Giants will out-grudge the Bucs.

  • Jacksonville Jaguars at Pittsburgh Steelers

A few weeks ago the Jaguars beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh.  Now, the Steelers are missing their top running back and the defense looks worn down.  The Jags are one of the up and coming teams in the playoffs this year and QB David Gerrard will come to his own with this playoff victory.

  • Tennessee Titans at San Diego Chargers

Vince Young is banged up but, even if he was healthy, the Chargers are too good.  After a slow start, the Bolts have been on a roll, taking the AFC West title.  They want a shot at the Patriots but first things first.  The Chargers will easily dispose of the Titans, with or without Young.

  1. Little-known fact: The Seahawks have never beaten another team more than once in postseason play. During a 32-year history, Seattle has beaten Denver, Miami, the Los Angeles Raiders, Carolina, Dallas and – in January 2006 – Washington.

    Lets GO SKINS!!!!!!

    Washington Redskins fan,

  2. Tough loss for the Skins
