The Miami Heat and the Atlanta Hawks are going to have a do over. Yep, a do over. Apparently, a scoring official made an error and charged Shaquille O’Neal with a foul instead of Udonis Haslem with about 3-minutes left in the game, giving Shaq five fouls. At the 51.9 second mark, O’Neal was charged with his ”sixth” foul and left the game.
The Hawks were fined $50,000 for the officials error as the scoring officials are the home teams responsibility. The Hawks won the December 19th game in overtime 117-111 but now have to replay the last 51.9 seconds to get that win back. The “game” will be held before the teams meet again in March.
