NBA: LeBron fastest to 10,000

Beating Kobe by a year, LeBron James is the youngest player to reach 10,000 career points, making the mark at 23 years and 59 days.  He is the ninth fastest to that point in NBA history doing so in 368 games.

PGA: Couples, Norman to captain ‘09 Presidents Cup

Fred Couples and Greg Norman will replace Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player as captains of the Presidents Cup teams.  They are the first captains to have competed in the event.  The 2009 Presidents Cup will be held at Harding Park, a San Francisco public course.
