NASCAR: Johnson wins Daytona 500 pole

Jimmy Johnson, going for his third strait cup title, claimed the pole in the season opening Daytona 500.  Next to him will be Michael Waltrip, who was caught with an illegal fuel additive after last years qualifying.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. won the exhibition Budweiser Shootout this weekend, showing what he can do with championship quality equipment.  The Hendrick team was also responsible for the victory and showed the sport that, though and individual one, NASCAR has a lot of teamwork behind it.  With four top drivers, the Hendrick team will be tough to contend with week in and week out.
