- Seattle has filed a lawsuit to force the SuperSonics to fulfill the remainder of the lease but it is a certainty that the team will move to Oklahoma City, hometown of owner Clay Bennett
- All-star host city, New Orleans, is also in jeopardy of losing their team…the Hornets have an opt out clause in the lease that if they don’t average 14,735 fans at the end of next season. Currently, they average 12,645
