MLB: Red Sox add depth with Colon

The Red Sox may have just pulled off what could become the biggest off-season move in signing former Cy Young winner Bartolo Colon to a minor league deal.

Colon has battled shoulder and elbow injuries the last two seasons, totaling a 7-13 record with a 5.72 ERA.  He did pitch in the Caribbean league this winter, making it to the World Series.  The deal could be worth up to a million dollars for the season.

  1. Red Sox seem to be making good decisions the past few years. Yankees better get their house in order or they will not be able to compete with The Sox…And that would be bad for baseball. The rivalry between these two teams is so hyped up that I make sure to catch that series every year.

  2. The Yankees are relying on their young arms and it is good that they have Posada back…he will really help them get through the season.
