Sidney Crosby gets some help with the addition of Marion Hossa from the Thrashers. Over in Washington, Alexander Ovechkin should benefit from the addition of former super star Sergei Fedorov, who has become a pretty good role player and will only help the Capitals. NBA: Yao, that hurts

With the Rockets clinging to the seventh seed, Yao Ming suffered a stress fracture in his foot and will miss the rest of the season. Houston holds a three game lead over the ninth place Nuggets, with the Warriors in between. Both teams could leave the Rockets with a lottery pick.
