NBA: Kidd sits at crunch time

Jason Kidd wanted out of New Jersey and got shipped to Dallas.  Last night, head coach Avery Johnson sat Kidd down with 30-seconds left in the game.  Jason Terry drove the lane for the game-tying shot but was blocked by Bruce Bowen and the Mavs lost.  Why get one of the best floor generals of this generation and sit him at the most crucial part of the game?  Avery Johnson must have had an Isiah Thomas moment that cost his team a game and may have hurt his relationship with Kidd.
