NBA: Rockets make it 20 in a row

The Houston Rockets are on the brink of history becoming the third team in NBA history to win at least 20 consecutive games.  The longest streak in league history is 33 games by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1971-72 season.  Twenty wins ties the Rockets with the 1970-71 Milwaukee Bucks.

Many thought losing Yao Ming on February 26th would have been the end of the season for the Rockets, who were in the midst of a 13-game winning streak.  Rolling off seven more after the injury is impressive though the road ahead is not going to be easy.

After traveling to Charlotte to face the Bobcats, the Rockets head home for showdowns with the Lakers and Celtics.  Then, a three-game road trip starts in New Orleans against the Hornets followed by games against the Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns, capping off a very tough week for the Rockets.
