Western Kentucky pull off a thrilling upset with a three-point buzzer beater downing #5 seed Drake in day two of the NCAA tournament. Day one was pretty ho-hum with only the Duke nail-biter against Belmont the only true test to any of the favorites, if you count Kansas State as an underdog. Day two has got the tournament back on a high note with some upsets.
On day two, most of the favorites won but Connecticut couldn’t handle San Diego. The Toreros’ took out the Huskies on a last-second jumper by De’Jon Jackson to become this year’s early Cinderella story. Also pulling off the upset, Davidson beat once perennial-CinderellaGonzaga on Stephen Curry’s 40 points, 30 of which came in the second half.
