NCAA: Four #1s as Davidson falls short

With three #1 seeds in the Final Four, Kansas had a tough time with the Cinderella – Davidson.  Coming down to the final shot, Davidson’s top player – Stephen Curry was double teamed and had to pass off to Jason Richards , who bricked the 25-footer.  Curry finished with 25 points but Kansas helped make history as, for the first time ever, all four number one seeds played through the tournament.

Earlier in the day, Memphis beat #2 Texas by 18 points to take their spot in college basketball’s biggest stage.  Yesterday, North Carolina passed by Louisville and UCLA destroyed Xavier by 19 points.

The match-ups are interesting…

  • North Carolina coach Roy Williams will face his former team – Kansas
  • UCLA and Memphis will square off on the other side of the bracket
