The one weakness Memphis had all season was free throws…and that is what killed their shot at college immortality. The Kansas Jayhawks beat the Memphis Tigers 75-68 in an overtime game that ends a terrific college basketball season.
The Jayhawks win their first national championship in 20 years on a clutch shot in regulation by Mario Chalmers. In OT, the Tigers lost their swagger as Kansas took home the crown. In a spectacular Final Four, the Jayhawks had to go through their old coach – Roy Williams – then beat a good, cocky Memphis team that was the best all season.
Congratulations to the Jayhawks.

it’s always a treat to see an under dog win! Congrats to Kansas on winning! All in all, it was a pretty good March Madness this year. Better for some than others (a lot of upsets in the pools I am sure!) but entertaining to watch nonetheless!
I was pulling for Memphis (small conference school) but you need to be able to make the easiest shot in basketball to win.
