Senator Arlen Spctor is threatening the NFL with anti-trust violations again as he calls for a Mitchell-esque investigation into the Patriots tape scandal. Don’t U.S. senators have better things to do than attack the sports world?
A Mitchell investigation would prove just as useless as the original Mitchell Report did for baseball. And, will Spector’s investigation only focus on the Pats? The last things fans need, want or care about is another pointless, one-sided “investigation” on the sports they love.
The games are played on the field and, especially with football, execution is vital. Please, leave well enough alone.
