Boston Red Sox pitcher John Lester (3-2) got the first no-hitter of the 2008 season against the Kansas City Royals. He only needed 130 pitches, that’s just 14 pitches per inning…and the Sox won 7-0. The reigning champs are cruising this season as they lead the Tampa Bay Rays by a game and a half. Coming just shy of two years after being diagnosed with cancer, Lester has really come on strong in the Sox rotation since re-joining the team last season.
