Having missed out on trading for Johan Santana last year, and struggling with poor pitching throughout the 2008 season, it seems the Yankees have landed their top prize – CC Sabathia.
Sabathia is getting ready to sign a reported seven-year, $161 million contract to help ring in the new stadium in New York. With Sabathia as the ace, the Yankees need Phil Hughes and Ian Kennedy to step up and show fans that last year was a fluke.
