The New York Giants overcame the Plaxico hump with a run-pouding victory over the Carolina Panthers, securing home field advantage throughout the playoffs. The last two weeks were about the suspended star receiver who is out after shooting himself in the leg. Getting three touchdowns, including the winner in overtime, from an almost healthy Brandon Jacobs and the 215-yard game from Derrik Ward, the NFC representative will have to go through a cold New York to get to the Super Bowl.
Overall, this was a great game on both sides…Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams scored four times and ran for 108 yards. It is going to make for a great championship game in a few weeks.
