Tiger Woods shot an even-par 72 and is four back of leaders Justin Rose and Trevor Immelman. Ian Poulter made a hole-in-one on the 16th hole. Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh and K. J. Choi are all in contention early at the PGA’s first major championship.

With the US Open coming in about six weeks, we will start to see top player come out of their shell a bit. Will so many tournaments, and so few brand names, golf disappears between major tournaments. Now, with the Player’s Championship next week, there is added interest in May golf.Â

A decent sports weekend with the NHL playoffs taking center stage. There were some great games both Saturday and Sunday - with NBC getting a winner with Pittsburgh v.
